more on Airtunes

A bit of a google, and some ethereal dumps have refined my thoughts on the Airtunes. It does infact use Rendezvous, and it does seem to work with our reflector (mDNSClientPosix is from Apple's opensource Rendezvous code).
[davyd@persephone davyd]$ mDNSClientPosix -t _raop._tcp
Hit ^C when you're bored waiting for responses.

searching for hosts from the wired network

There appears to be a wiki of information, some of this confirms things I already knew. Later on, I'm going to get an RTSP client, and try hacking that up to send things for me (perhaps time to get out some of my cool python toys again).

My website from yesterday apparently got quite popular, and was apparently knocked off the air. The logs don't appear to have noticed however, neither did my ssh shells to the box. I'm wondering if one of our links to the US failed at some point last night.

Update
Rendezvous does work in gnome-vfs. I managed to screenshot it.

Update 2
Finally sorted out a bug that's been annoying me for ages. The problem was staring me in the face the entire time. The solution can be expressed in two lines.
